Jim grew up in Fullerton, CA and went to Servite High School in Anaheim where he graduated in 1996. He received his formal education from Loyola Marymount University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a minor in Business Administration (2000).

Jim holds insurance licenses for both Property & Casualty and Accident & Health Insurance. He began his career at ISU-The Olson Duncan Agency in 2007. Jim currently lives in Long Beach and enjoys golfing, cooking, snowboarding, watching the Dodgers and spending time with friends and family. He is currently studying for his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) credential and looking forward to completing the series of tests soon.
