Lawyers Professional Liability Insurance Specialists

Malpractice insurance, also known as Lawyers Professional Liability (LPL), is for attorneys and law firms who find themselves as defendants in cases involving the legal services they provided to clients. LPL coverage protects you and your firm from allegations arising out of the rendering or failure to render professional legal services. Claims range from allegations of conflicts of interest to failure to “calendar or follow up”, and abandonment of representation or failure to address client needs, among other issues. The American Bar Association (ABA) estimates attorneys will have at least three legal malpractice claims brought against them in the course of their careers.

At ISU-The Olson Duncan Agency, we specialize in insurance for law firms, and can provide you with an LPL policy to protect you, your firm and employees. We work with several leading insurers in this area and can customize a policy designed for small, medium and large practices.

Providing Comprehensive LPL Insurance

Our staff can provide you with a comprehensive and broad LPL policy designed to step in for claims that arise from “wrongful acts” committed in the rendering of legal services. This includes coverage for defense costs and damages if you are found liable. We can also enhance your Legal Professional Liability policy with several features depending on your needs, including disciplinary defense up to a certain amount, extra claims expenses, subpoena assistance, prior acts, and a non-practicing extended reporting form (for attorneys who have retired or have ceased practicing law).

As an independent agent, our goal is to provide you with options, negotiating the right policy at the right cost to you.

Our Value

At Olson Duncan Insurance, we look to provide clients with a total solution, not simply a quote or an insurance contract. Our goal is to provide real value and build a long-term relationship based on trust. This is underscored by the fact that we provide our applied behavioral analysis clients with industry-specific insurance and risk management services, including BCBA liability insurance, workers’ compensation, group health benefits, and anything necessary to protect your valuable work. We would love to get to know you and answer any questions. To find out more about how we can help you, or if you would like a quote, please call our team at (310) 373-6441.
